Reva S. Tankle, Ph.D.
A founding member of New Habitat, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors, Dr. Reva Tankle., is currently Executive Director of the Neurorehabilitation Unit of Northeast Regional Hospital in Stoughton, MA. Over the last twenty years, Dr. Tankle has headed inpatient neurobehavioral rehabilitation units for Greenery, Horizon Healthcare, Olympus Healthcare and Commonwealth Community. In addition, she developed and managed numerous residential programs under contracts with Massachusetts Statewide Head Program. At New Habitat, Dr. Tankle is the designated Board member to oversee the program and staff.
Dr. Tankle has done research in such areas as stroke among persons with various neurological disorders and the neuropsychological sequelae of head injury. Her publications have appeared in Brain and Language and the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation. She has presented papers to state and national meetings and conferences, including the Southwest Regional Head Injury Symposium, the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission Symposium, and at Annual Meetings of the NHIF. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the International Neuropsychological Association and the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society.
Dr. Tankle holds an M. A. in Developmental Psychology from York University in Toronto and a Ph. D. in Physiological Psychology from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She completed Post-doctoral training in Neuropsychology at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Jack Warren, Ed.D.
Jack Warren is a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts and neuropsychological consultant to New Habitat, Inc., a group home in Cambridge, MA for survivors of traumatic brain injury. Jack received his doctorate in counseling psychology from Boston University in 1979. He did a pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and post-doctoral work in clinical neuropsychology at New England Medial Center and Youville Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Cambridge, MA. Jack has been neuropsychologist at Northeast Specialty Hospital NeuroRehabilitation Unit in Stoughton, MA for the past seven years and a quality assurance psychology consultant to the Social Security Disability program for thirteen years. He has also served as director of the neurobehavioral rehabilitation unit at Greenery Rehabilitation Center in Brighton, MA, director of the Cognitive and Behavioral Assessment Center at the Thom Clinic in Boston, MA, and director of training for the APA-approved child clinical psychology internship program at Beaverbrook Guidance Center in Watertown, MA. Jack is married, lives in Newton, MA, has two children (one just graduated from college; the other will be leaving for college this fall) and enjoys listening to and playing music (guitar and voice).
Karen E. Gehm, RN, CDDN, EMT-B
Karen E. Gehm has worked with special needs populations since 1976 in various capacities, and has been a Registered Nurse since 1995. She holds special certification in her field as a Certified Developmental Disabilities Nurse (CDDN), and is also licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic level (EMT-B). Karen is on the Board of the Bay State DD Nurses Network, and maintains their website. She is also a member in good standing of the national organization, DDNA. Since 2001, Karen has been working extensively on behalf of individuals with head injury, and has been with New Habitat since its inception in 2003. She provides consultation and training in medical issues, CPR and First Aid, and safe medication administration practices.
